I’ve gone shopping again! This time at H&M where I picked up 7 items, but I’ll only be showing you 5 as the other 3 are H&M perfumes and it’s really difficult for me to describe them. I also have a random ASOS item as well. Apologies for the crappy picture quality, I didn’t realize until after.
Girlfriend Jeans, $29.99 (in Dark Denim Blue)
No – I purchased two of H&M’s Girlfriend jeans in different colors and sizes to see which fit better, and this is the larger of the two, size 6. I remembered H&M being small with their sizes, but also remembered that H&M tried to change their garment sizing so I wasn’t entirely sure what size I should get. And as you can see in the pictures, size 6 is way too big. There is just excess fabric everywhere. The waist, the thighs, the inseam. I marked them as a no simply because these are too large, but I think I might exchange them for a smaller size, because I do like them and the deep blue color is something I don’t have in my closet.
Girlfriend Jeans, $29.99 (in Blue)
Keeping – now if you’ve read my previous post, I compared the popular Levi’s Wedgie Fit with these jeans. I did a mini review there, but here’s the full rundown. Given the proper size, size 4, I like the fit of these jeans. They hit above the ankle and are a cutoff bottom hem. Unlike the Levi’s button fly, these have a zip fly (I don’t really prefer one over the other though). The waist part though is a bit loose however. Not as loose as the previous jeans, but still a bit too loose for my liking. I hope it might shrink a little in the wash.
Long Faux Fur Coat, $49.99 (in Cream)
Probably – unfortunately, I couldn’t find the same item anymore, but I did link a similar one that’s a bit pricier and better quality. Simply put, I see a lot of girls around the city with these teddy coats on and they look so chic that I wanted one for myself. Granted, theirs are probably much nicer quality and maybe made out of real fur, but I’m good with this cheaper alternative. As it appears, teddy coats are amazing. They are so cozy and soft like you are wearing a cloud or at least, a very snuggly blanket. From the look of the ‘fur’ you can tell that it’s not an expensive one, but I just wanted one to try. I think teddy coats are a fad, and definitely not a classic, so I don’t think it’s worth it to buy an extremely expensive teddy coat.
Lyocell Shirt Dress, $49.99 (in Dark Grey)
No – now hear me out, at $50 this is waaaay too pricey, but in my defense I purchased this when it was on sale for $27. But even still, this is a no from me. I can’t tell if the dress is too big or just constructed with too much fabric. It doesn’t give much shape, and I think it’s just too blah, not worth keeping and there are much better things I can get for $27.
ASOS Black Wedges, $56.00
No – I thought because these are wedges, they would be a bit more comfortable, but I think I was just being a bit too optimistic. The heel on this is 5 inches and the platform is only 1 inch, meaning that this is still like a regular high heel and equally as uncomfortable. I fell in love with the look of these wedges on the model, but when I tried them on for myself, I was just not into them.
